1948 Chevy Coupe "Gypsy"

Jim and Nancy came to Charlie with their Coupe one day to see about a little upgrade. Their intentions were to drive their Coupe all over the U.S. and especially run ol' Route 66.

"Gypsy" as the Coupe was named came in with the stock inline 6-cyl and drive line. The entire car was pretty much stock. Thoughts of maybe just putting in an automatic and changing the brakes would be enough. Well, hold on to your pocket book! Ol Gypsy is now a 2008!

A Crate 350 was backed by a 350 turbo tranny to start with. Then, Mustang II frontend, 4-wpdb, 12-bolt rear, new leaf rear, air, power steering, tilt, and a custom dash gave Gypsy the "update" needed to enjoy the Country! What a way to do just that but in the style of a beautiful '48 Coupe with all of todays comforts!
